2006 - A level Year! She started the year as Verruca! in Potterne Pantomime's "Carry on Up Potternium" and then played Patricia Fodor in LoganWest's production "Crazy for You". As well as passing her A levels she also gained her Grade Eight Musical Theatre exam. Following the exams she sang in Bath Abbey with the George Ward Community Chorus performing John Rutter's "Magnificat" and "Requiem" and five pieces from Karl Jenkins' "A Mass for Peace".

By this time Leonie's heart was firmly set on a career in Musical Theatre and she auditioned for places at The Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (her preferred choice), Guildford School of Acting and The Arts Educational Schools, London. She received a callback at Mountview but failed to secure a place for that year receiving the advice, "Not this year but go away and get some more experience and come back next year".
