Leonie started ballet lessons at the age of six and appeared in her first stage production, "Imagination" for the Melksham School of Ballet, at the age of seven as a reindeer.

Having a family who all appeared on stage with the Potterne Pantomime Group it was only a matter of time before Leonie got the bug. She appeared in her first pantomime, at the age of eight, as a rabbit in the group's production of "Snow White and the Eight Dwarfs". She continued with various small roles, a crab, a jewel, cowgirl and in 2000 she played her first lead role as Tinkerbell in "Peter Pan". In 2002 she appeared in her first full lead role as Alice in "Alice in Wonderland".

Signing up for the next school production in May 2002 she was cast as the Maid in George Ward School's production of "My Fair Lady" and started taking singing and keyboard lessons with a view to taking Musical Theatre exams
